Welcome

Hi everyone, and welcome to our site! Well . . . the honeymoon is over, but our married life is just beginning. If this is your first time to our site, we started the site to inform our friends and family about our wedding events and details. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to keep it up with stories about our daily lives. We don't update it as often as we like, but we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. On Wednesdays, we post some of the behind-the-scenes details of our wedding vendors and projects. If you are looking for the Chrismas Letter you can click on the link in the labels section below or simply scroll down. Please sign our guestbook. We love reading all the comments.

Love Enduring

We spent the last weekend in June in Louisiana to celebrate MawMaw and PawPaw's 60th Wedding Anniversary. We flew into Baton Rouge on Friday and spent the afternoon catching up with Dad/Mr. Pete. After lunch at Z's, we headed straight to the Royal Standard. I am addicted to that place. I walked out with several new purses and a scarf. Rod is going to cut me off next time. We met up with Stephen and Elise for dinner at X. I was worried with all the oil spill problems that there would be a lack of good sea food. Amazingly, the sea food was still plentiful.

The next morning, we headed to New Orleans for the anniversary festivities at the Palace Cafe. The food was good, the company was even better. It was so nice to see the entire family.

After lunch, Elise, Stephen, Rod, and I headed to the warehouse district for shopping. We got there a little late, though. Most of the shops were almost closed. After we perused a couple of shops, we stopped to get drinks on the patio at X.
That night, we got dinner at X. The food was fantastic. And we were sitting at a table next to Triple H (from WWF) and Yeardley Smith (the voice of Lisa Simpson). There were a couple of other pre-teen Disney celebs that I should probably know, but didn't.
The next morning, we had beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde before heading back to Baton Rouge. Back in Baton Rouge, we had a quick visit with Mr. Sterling before heading over to MawMaw and PawPaw's to deliver the Kennedy Rose that we bought them for their diamond anniversary. Eddie, Patti, and Terri were all over there so we got to visit everyone before flying home.

The next day, we were so exhausted we just wanted to spend a quiet night at home. We actually contemplated skipping our first Red Butte concert of the year: Todd Snider and Mo Fro. We pulled it together and, in the end, we were really glad we went. We snuggled and had a great time. It was one of those really perfect nights where you just fill so completely loved.

Here we were trying to take a picture of the two of us. It took us eight tries to get one with both of our eyes open.
